For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through many stages of life. My career has included roles as a preschool teacher, professional nanny, children's museum educator, and drop-in center manager, each shaping the relationship-centered approach I bring to every household today.
Over the years, my work has naturally grown beyond child care into caring for the whole household. Today, Benita's Best Care provides personalized support for children, older adults, households, pets, farms, and families navigating everything from everyday routines to major life transitions. My goal is simple: to provide dependable, thoughtful care that helps life run a little more smoothly.

I believe the best care begins with trust, reliability, and meaningful relationships. Every individual, family, and household is unique, so I take time to understand routines, preferences, personalities, and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

My approach is rooted in respect, connection, and practical support. Inspired by relationship-centered care, Montessori principles, Conscious Discipline, and learning through everyday experiences, I strive to create environments where people feel safe, valued, capable, and genuinely cared for.

Regardless of the task or challenge, my ultimate goal is to provide dependable support, create peace of mind, strengthen relationships, and leave every household feeling better than I found it.

Most of the time, you'll also meet my daughter, Hazel, Benita's Best Care's official Assistant-at-Play.

As a homeschooling family, Hazel accompanies me during most child care, household management, pet care, farm care, travel, and community event visits. Families are always informed in advance when she'll be joining me, and many have come to enjoy the curiosity, kindness, and joyful energy she brings to the families we serve.
Some services, including certain newborn, overnight, and elder care requests, may be provided without her based on the family's needs.
